My First Trip to Uljin.

This past weekend marked my first trip up to Uljin. Uljin is a little town in South Korea half way up the  east coast of the country. There isn't much in the way to do up there, but the country side is a site to see. I really do recommend going to this area if you get the chance.

Anyways, we left Busan early Saturday morning around 8am. We were suppose to leave around 7:30am, but a Korean that was coming with up woke up late. Anyways, we split the group up and we headed off to Uljin. The Koreans in one van and the Foreigners in the other. The foreigners headed to Kyoung-ju where we were to pick up some more people at the rest stop. Once we got there we got some snacks, fueled up, and hit the road again.

We got to the dive site around 2:30pm and unloaded our vans. Our first dive was a good one. We dropped in and went down 18.7m (61.35ft) the water was nice on the surface and a little cool at the bottom. It was 18C (64.4F) Well when went to the bottom we swam around for a bit. I was leading a group of divers around, but the funny thing was that was my first time diving the site, so I had no clue what to expect. There was a good current at the bottom, so we swam up current for a bit and saw a lot of nice fish and what not. We swam around for about 40 mins and then started our ascent with a safety stop. We got out and back on the boat. Once we were all on the boat we headed back to refuel and get new tanks.
